AN ELLESMERE Port resident has been charged with a firearm offence after a man was allegedly shot in the leg in the town on Saturday.
Liam Cameron, 26, of Camden Road has been charged with attempted murder, grievous bodily harm with intent and possession of a firearm with intent.
He has also been charged with being concerned in the supply of crack cocaine, heroin and cocaine.
A second defendant, Nathan Elliott, 26, of Faraday Road, has been charged with possession with intent to supply cocaine.
Both men have been remanded into custody and appeared separately at Chester Magistrates Court today (Tuesday, December 3). No pleas were entered at this stage.
Prosecuting, Sarah Egan said both defendants should be remanded in custody pending their next court appearance.
Defending both Cameron and Elliott, Richard Simm said no bail applications would be made.
Magistrates said both defendants would be remanded in custody until their hearing at Chester Crown Court on Thursday, January 2, 2020.
A 43-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender and has been released on conditional bail.
All charges relate to an incident which took place at 2.25pm on Saturday, November 30, involving a man being shot on Enfield Road.
