Investigation launched into Burnley kitchen fire
AN INVESTIGATION has been launched into the cause of a house fire in Burnley.
Firefighters were called to the incident on Ford Street just after midnight last night.
Watch manager Rob Birtwistle said: "The cause of the fire is under investigation but we believe it to be suspicious.
"There was no-one in the property at the time but we had to treat it like there may have been.
"The fire was in the kitchen area and was also in one of the bedrooms.
"The two neighbouring properties needed to have fans put in to clear the smoke damage.
"We were there for about an hour."
