THREE people were treated for smoke inhalation as a fire burnt through a house.
Firefighters from Rawtenstall and Greater Manchester were called to Hardman Avenue in Rawtenstall at around 6.15am today (Tuesday).
The fire was in a ground floor of a terraced house.
A fire service spokesman said: "Firefighters used four breathing apparatus and two hose reel jets to extinguish the fire.
"Three casualties were treated on the scene by the North West Ambulance Service for smoke inhalation."
