To celebrate Lancashire Day on November 27, a special community celebration event is being held.

Lancashire Adult Learning (LAL) is preparing its largest day of activities yet to celebrate everything that is great about the Red Rose County.

The team from LAL has been busy putting together a family friendly programme of events for the day, which will take place at Northlight in Brierfield.

Activities will include Morris dancing workshops, Lancashire folk songs, a Lancashire quiz, Lancashire family history and much more.

Head of Curriculum and Strategic Partnerships at Lancashire Adult Learning, Nicola Hall, said: “As the second largest adult community learning provider in the country, operating across the largest geographical footprint in Lancashire’s 12 districts, the team here at LAL really understands the intricacies and quirks of this great county’s heritage.

“That’s why we were so keen to mark the day with a larger programme of activities than we have done before.

"There is something for everyone at our Lancashire Day celebration, representing the huge range of provision that we as an organisation offer.

“We really do love Lancashire, and we are proud to support the people in the county in which we operate.

"We’re looking forward to celebrating all that is great about the Red Rose County on November 27 and we invite you along to join the occasion too.”

All members of the community are invited along to celebrate between 10.30am and 2.30pm on Wednesday November 27.
