A MAN breached a non-molestation order in favour of his former partner because he believed she was responsible for a fake Facebook profile which gave details of his murky past.
Blackburn magistrates heard the bogus profile which carried his picture referred to Tyler Deterville's previous convictions and the fact he was on the Sex Offender Register.
Deterville, 21, of Colne Road, Burnley, pleaded guilty to breaching a non-molestation order. He was remanded on bail for the preparation of a pre-sentence report.
Catherine Allan, prosecuting, said the relationship ended in June and the defendant's former partner obtained a non-molestation order in September because she was having problems with him.
At the end of October she answered a call from a withheld number and hung up when she recognised his voice.
She later told police; "There are not many voices you hear which cause you to have panic and anxiety attacks which is what happens to me when I hear his voice."
A voice mail was left on her phone which referred to the fake Facebook profile.
Laura Heywood, defending, said the profile included personal information, including the fact he had once been sectioned, and details of the sex offender register requirement.
Miss Heywood said Deterville left a message pleading with his former partner to stop posting things about him and asking her to delete the profile.
"He didn't threaten her, he was simply pleading with her to stop tormenting him," said Miss Heywood.
