LANCASHIRE'S fallen in two World Wars and other conflicts will be remembered on Sunday at Blackburn Cathedral.

The county's premier Anglican church will host a United Service of Remembrance at 9.30am followed by parade to the Corporation Park Gardens of Remembrance for a wreath laying.

A huge poppy will be projected on to Clitheroe Castle in the evening which will also see wreaths laid at its war memorial after services at St Mary's Church 1t 9.30am and at the town's Cenotaph at 10.35am.

The Bishop of Burnley the Rt Rev Philip North will lead a Service of Remembrance at the town's Peace Garden in Croft Street at 11am.

Accrington will see special act of worship at the Cenotaph at Oakhill Park at 10.45am followed by a procession.

Great Harwood will host parade from Town Gate to the war memorial in Memorial Park at 10.35am followed at 10.55am with service and wreath laying at the war memorial.

Oswaldtwistle will see a procession from Thwaites Street at 2.10am along Union Road to the war memorial on Rhyddings Street for combined service and laying of wreaths at 2.30 pm.

There will be a wreath laying at Darwen's Bold Venture Park at 11am followed by a service at St. Peter’s Church at 12:15am.

At 2pm the town's Library Theatre will host Blackburn and Darwen Band:'s Festival of Remembrance.

Padiham Unitarian Chapel in Church Street will hold a Service of Remembrance at 10am followed by a laying of wreaths at the town's war memorial and parade to the town hall.

Whalley Parish Church will host a special service at 9:45am followed by a short procession to the war memorial for a further act of remembrance.

Nelson will host a parade from Russell Street at 1.30pm to the Cenotaph for a Service of Remembrance at 2pm.

Colne will see a procession from the Legion Club in Keighley Road at 10.25am to the war memorial where a service will be held and wreaths laid at 11am.

Rawtenstall's parade will leave the Town Square at 2.30pm for a service at St Mary’s Church.
