Firefighters were called out to a rubbish fire in an alleyway in Accrington.
The incident saw crews tackle a burning pile of wood and rubbish which had accumulated behind Tremellen Street.
The smouldering pile was a quick job for fire crews, who doused the pile with water and secured the area.
A spokesman said: "It was a small fire but it was smoking by the time we go there.
"It was a quick job where we sorted it out with some water."
The fire comes as part of a busy night for the fire service, which has seen millions celebrating Bonfire Night.
