A main road is currently closed as firefighters work to cut a man from a car following a crash.
Police, fire and ambulance were called just after 7.30am to Newchurch Road in Bacup, after reports of a crash involving two vehicles.
A police spokesperson said: "We are currently attending to reports of a collision on Newchurch Road, Bacup at the junction of Park Road.
"Fire and Ambulance are also in attendance, reports are the main road is currently blocked.
"Once we have a further update we will provide one."
The crash is believed to involve a black BMW and a white Iveco van.
The police spokesperson said a man is trapped in the van and fire crews are working to free him.
The driver of the BMW is not thought to be injured.
The driver of the van, a man thought to be in his 50s, was freed from his vehicle and taken to hospital with leg injuries.
Newchurch Road has now reopened.
