BOLTON'S Market Place was evacuated, but customers are now being allowed back into the premises with the evacuation being a false alarm.
The town centre shopping complex was evacuated at around 4pm today with customers being told to go outside, The Bolton News understands.
It is unclear as of yet why the shopping centre was evacuated, customers were escorted from the premises and had to wait outside the main doors of the centre.
Shoppers are now being allowed back inside, with a spokesperson for Market Place saying that the evacuation was a false alarm.
