A NEW line of lingerie has been launched by two entrepreneurs to boost body confidence and empower women.

Be Pink Lingerie's marketing director, Sarah Walker, and operations manager, Jaydee Davis, first met at a networking event.

Now three years on, the Blackburn pair, after battling their own personal challenges, have teamed up to promote a range of undergarments and shapewear they hope will be a game changer.

Their launch event, at Brockhall Village, was supported by 50 friends and coincided with Breast Cancer Awareness Month, for which they donated five per cent of all sales on the night.

Jaydee said: "A challenging year personally for both of us had led us to a point where we were both understanding how important it is to feel strong and confident about yourself when everything feels like it’s falling down around you. That’s what sparked

"The idea for Pink Lingerie, a way to make women of all shapes and sizes feel empowered simply through our products."

Sarah added: “As women we don’t celebrate ourselves enough, there is so much pressure on us to be everything and have life in order that we can forget about ourselves and how important it is for us to feel good and celebrate who we are.

"Our products are designed to give women that inner confidence and strength that some days we all need."

The range is on sale online and an e-commerce site is in development. For more details go to Instagram@be_pink_lingerie or Facebook @Be_Pink_Lingerie
