NEXT month libraries run by Lancashire County Council will stage events as part of the second 'Great North West Read'.
They will aim to bring adult book-lovers together, encouraging group discussion and sharing a love of reading.
The book that has been chosen to read is 'The Library of Lost and Found' by Phaedra Patrick.
It tells of volunteer librarian, Martha Storm, who finds a mysterious book of fairy tales.
She finds a surprising dedication in the book that stirs up family secrets and a personal emotional journey.
Cllr Peter Buckley, the county council's culture boss, said: "This gives us a great opportunity to bring readers in Lancashire together as a community to spark conversations about books and to celebrate their shared love of reading.
"We want as many adult readers across the county as possible to take part."
