A TRIAL date has been set for a man and a woman charged over the death of a one-year-old Radcliffe girl.
Orianna Crilly-Cifrova died in hospital last Wednesday after police were called to a flat in the town, following reports of an injury.
On Tuesday, Jamie Chadwick, 21, understood not to be the child's father, appeared at Manchester Crown Court by prison videolink accused of murdering the youngster.
Orianna's mother, Chelsea Crilly, 19, also appeared by prison videolink and is charged with allowing the death of a child.
No pleas were entered as the pair were told they would be produced at court from custody for a further case management hearing on February 7.
Judge David Stockdale QC, the Honorary Recorder of Manchester, set a provisional trial date of March 23, with the hearing estimated to last up to four weeks.
Chadwick, of Cross Lane, Radcliffe, and Crilly, of Warwick Road, Atherton, were further remanded in custody.
