TWO Cumbria restaurants have been named among the UK’s top 10, according to the 2019 Travellers’ Choice Awards for Restaurants.
L’Enclume in Cartmel takes the title of third best-rated restaurant in the UK while The Old Stamp House in Ambleside places seventh in the UK.
As well as finishing up third in the UK fine dining restaurants rankings, L’Enclume takes 13th in Europe and 20th in the world this year.
Haley Coleman, spokesperson for TripAdvisor, said: “Claiming the title of the UK’s third favourite fine dining restaurant as well as being named among the world’s top 25 truly is a fantastic achievement for the team at L’Enclume.
"Cumbria has double reason to celebrate this year with The Old Stamp House Restaurant also featuring in the UK’s top ten.”
