POLICE and emergency services were on the scene for nearly three hours after a man climbed on to the roof of a property.
Officers and fire crews sealed off Cambridge Road, St Helens after a wanted man climbed on a nearby building.

The stand off began at 2.40pm today, Sunday, October 20, when a man, who is wanted on warrant, came to the attention of officers.

The suspect made his way on to the roof of the property in Cambridge Road, where there are a mix of houses and businesses, such as McColls and Blackburns bakery.
Road closures were in place while police dealt with the incident, working alongside Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service.
Witnesses say the incident came to and end shortly after 5.30pm when the man came down from the roof.
They reported seeing a man being led away by officers.
