A MAN has appeared before Blackburn magistrates after more than 20,000 indecent images of children were found on his computer.
The court heard 564 of the images were of Category A, the most extreme, and examination of his computer also revealed an extreme image of a person having sex with a horse.
David Livesey, 48, of Whalley Road, Clayton-le-Moors, pleaded guilty to possessing 564 Category A indecent images of children, 468 Category B indecent images of children, 19,081 Category C indecent images of children, possessing six prohibited images of children and possessing an extreme pornographic image. He was sent on bail to Burnley Crown Court to be sentenced on December 7.
He was made subject to interim sexual offender registration requirements.
Catherine Allan, prosecuting, said police tracked down the indecent images to his home and seized computers.
She said the category A images depicted children as young as four being raped by a man.
