BARROWFORD residents are being given the chance to adopt the Barrowford Neighbourhood Plan in a November vote.
The plan has been approved by an independent examiner and if voted in, would become the legal planning policy for the town and any new planning developments would have to meet the plan's requirements.
Neil Watson, planning, economic development and regulatory services manager, said: “This referendum is about providing local residents with an opportunity to influence how their area will develop over the next 11 years through the Neighbourhood Plan.
Voting will take place on Thursday, November 14, from 7am to 10pm at polling stations across the town.
