BUSINESSES have come out in support of a Moulton woman's forthcoming ultramarathon effort.
Alex Ehlen will be taking on the Oldham Way Ultra on April 18 next year – a 40 mile run uphill and down dale – in aid of the British Red Cross.
An experienced runner with three marathons under her belt, Alex is stepping up her training with the help of some generous companies and groups.
Gadbrook Park-based Concise Technologies, Aftershokz, Moulton Runners and Adapxis from Bury have pitched in to sponsor Alex's training shirt.
She said: "Having completed three road marathons already, the ultra is a new challenge and will be a real test of stamina and endurance.
"Most of the run if off road over tricky and hilly terrain while carrying kit and map-reading around the course."
