TATTON MP and Housing Minister, Esther McVey, visited McCarthy and Stone’s Lawson Grange Retirement Living development in Wilmslow.
The MP took a tour of the development, which is celebrating its second anniversary, and spoke with homeowners about their lifestyle at Lawson Grange and the benefits of retirement living.
During the tour Ms McVey met McCarthy and Stone CEO, John Tonkiss, to discuss the importance of suitable accommodation in later living.
Ms McVey said: “It was a pleasure to be able to visit Lawson Grange and meet some of the homeowners at the development.
“It’s important we do not forget about older members of the community and those who might be looking to downsize or to benefit from a supportive, yet independent environment.”
John Tonkiss, CEO at McCarthy and Stone, said: “We would like to extend our thanks to Esther for taking the time to visit Lawson Grange and meet our homeowners.
“It was a pleasure to be able to show her around one of our age-exclusive developments and demonstrate the benefits they provide to older people.”
