A SEX offender who admitted to upskirting at Asda in Rawtenstall has been warned reports are being prepared on him to consider if he is dangerous.

Stuart Bulling, 50, appeared in the dock at Burnley Crown Court last week where he admitted to making 497 category A indecent images of children, 325 category B indecent images of children and 380 category C indecent images of children. Those offences took place between June 21 and August 19, this year.

The court heard Bulling, of Bacup Road, Rossendale, appeared before Preston magistrates last month and pleaded guilty to operating equipment beneath the clothing of another without consent. That was in relation to the upskirting incident, which took place on September 5.

Magistrates were told security staff spotted Bulling on CCTV cameras committing the offence at 4.38pm.

Defending, Mark Stuart said: "Mr Bulling has brought with him a letter which he wishes me to pass on to the court.

"It is fairly lengthy and contains personal matters that relate what happened as a child. He tells me he told a friend about this but he has never reported it to the police."

Judge Sara Dodd remanded Bulling back into custody until he is sentenced at Preston Crown Court on November 22.

Judge Dodd said: "I want a risk assessment on him. He has previous convictions, including the sexual assault of a child under 13."
