OWNERS of an adventure golf course and tenpin bowling alley are set to start recruitment for a ‘game changing’ entertainments venue in the new Market Walk development.

Bosses at Escape Entertainments are excited that their facility is starting to take shape.

Ian Kearney, said: “The project is now on week three of a proposed 12-week schedule.

“The first phase has been to focus on high-level works, light, heat, power and painting up to the top of some of the walls.

“Our target to open will be around the second to third week in December.

“We are very excited about this project which started as a simple sketch at home.

“Now there are some walls in place, the bowling area is clear to see as a footprint and the walls are all painted, it has some element of coming to life once physical structures are in place.”

The director of North West Play and Party Ltd, added: “This will definitely bring in visitors from out of the area.

“We also hope to include a small out door seating area for when the weather is nicer so that we can offer an additional café space on the new pedestrian area that has been created between us and the existing Market Walk shopping Centre. The reaction from the people of Chorley has been nothing by positive, we have had lots of enquiries for when we are open.”

Mr Kearney said the firm was looking to start its recruitment drive in the next week or so with a head chef and assistant general manger being the first two roles being filled.
