Police arrested a man
A MAN was arrested in Prescot on suspicion of stealing from a motor vehicle after police received reports of someone acting suspiciously in the area.

Officers received reports on Saturday night (October 12) from a resident of a man acting suspiciously on Speakman Way, Prescot.
Police performed a stop check of a suspect a short time afterwards.
Officers arrested a 39-year-old man from West Derby, Liverpool in connection with a theft from a motor vehicle.
The suspect was taken to custody while the investigation into the matter continued.
