THE Community CVS and The Mall have launched their new Community Wall at the shopping centre in Blackburn.
The aim of the Community Wall is to support charities and organisations to spread the word of their services, volunteering opportunities and events.
Paul Mason, chair of Community CVS, said: “The installation of the Community Wall offers a wonderful opportunity for voluntary organisations to showcase their information to an increasingly large audience.
"I am sure shoppers will soon get into the habit of making time to look at it as they go up and down on the escalator.”
He added: “ I can assure everyone that the content of the wall will be regularly updated so it remains fresh and relevant. This is great example of agencies, in this case Community CVS, the Mall and the BID, working together for the welfare of the community.”
Loraine Jones, general manager for the Mall said: “The Community Wall is a fantastic way to spread the word about all the great news, training, events and volunteering opportunities.”
