BOSSES at an East Lancashire accountancy firm have been given the perfect tonic in their centenary year.

Turnover for Blackburn-based PM+M, which also has offices in Burnley and Bury, has risen by 9.2 per cent year-on-year, to £6.51million.

This follows the purchase and refurbishment of their headquarters, New Century House, off Roman Road.

And the 100-year-old firm was also named in the top 100 companies in their profession by Accountacy Age magazine.

Jane Parry, their managing partner, said: "Despite the difficult economic climate, especially thanks to Brexit uncertainty, the last 12 months has been a strong period of growth for the business.

"The entire team has been focussed on delivering the very best service and support for our clients and I firmly believe this approach has been to key to our success.

"Our aim is to now build on these achievements so we can secure the success of the firm for the next 100 years."

The company also relaunched its website and secured a probate licence in recent times, as well as starting lasting power of attorney work.
