TRAFFIC is queuing for six miles on the M65 due to a crash.
The incident took place westbound in between junctions three, Blackburn West, and junction two, Clayton Brook at around 8am.
However the congestion has reached back as far as junction five, Guide.
A Highways Agency spokesman said the second lane of the motorway has been blocked and travel time is around 40 minutes.
Motorists are advised to avoid the motorway if possible.
