THE mum of missing Helen O’Brien has issued a plea to the public to ‘keep her beautiful daughter in their minds’.

A huge police search is under way to find the 34-year-old, who was last seen at around 10pm on Wednesday, September 25 on Lime Tree Avenue in Stockton Heath.

Emergency services have been searching parts of Warrington close to the Cantilever Bridge in Latchford in a bid to trace Helen, described as around 5’ 7” tall, of slim build and black hair.

She was last seen wearing a large green jumper.

Helen’s mum Linda Mcbreen posted: ‘Please help keep my beautiful daughter Helen’s picture in the public’s mind to help find her.

‘She has two handsome boys who need their mum after losing their dad 12 months ago just before their mum and dad where due to get married, life is not the same without her we miss and love her so much’.

Residents living nearby, especially those in and around Ackers Lane, Ackers Road, Wash Lane and the area around the Cantilever Bridge are being asked to check any sheds or outbuildings in case Helen has taken shelter.

Friends and family who have issued an appeal say Helen may also respond to the name Helen Reilly - the name of her partner.

They said that Helen recently lost her partner to a heart attack and ‘may have been in a distressed state’.

Friend Lisa Johnson told Mirror Online: "This is a particularly sad story because her fiancé suddenly collapsed and died in front of her at home two weeks before their wedding day.

"It left her to care for their two young boys. Instead of planning the final touches to her wedding day, she had to plan a funeral.

"Helen has lost everyone she has ever become close to. Her dad died, she lost her sister in a car crash in 2000 and then this with Kevin.

"She was absolutely distraught. She really struggled afterwards but was managing because of her two boys."

Police are asking anyone with CCTV cameras to check them to see if they have captured Helen on camera between 10pm and midnight on Wednesday.

Any drivers who were in the area and may have captured anything on dashcam footage are urged to get in touch.

Inspector Richard Spedding said: “If you have seen Helen or someone matching her description or know where she is please get in touch.

“I would also appeal directly to Helen to contact us, or your family, and let us know you are safe.”

If you have any information call Cheshire Police on 101 quoting IML 523165.
