A 37-year-old man has been arrested on drugs charges after police followed his car down the motorway.
At around 7pm on Saturday, officers noticed a vehicle acting suspiciously while travelling down a stretch of the M65.
The car was intercepted after a re-enforced stop on Vivary Way in Colne at around 8pm.
The dog unit was deployed and upon inspection of the vehicle, police found there to be a large amount of class A drugs.
A spokesperson for the police said: "A 37-year-old man from Nelson was arrested on suspicion of possession of a class A drug with intent to supply.
"The man remained in custody on Sunday morning.
"We will continue to target people involved in crime in order to keep our communities safe."
