A WOMAN who was banned from an Accrington bar assaulted the manager after he spotted her sneaking in through a fire exit.

Blackburn magistrates heard Alex Louise Fraser was confronting door staff as she was being ejected and attacked Samuel Taylor when he went over with the radio to contact the police.

Fraser, 27, of Princess Street, Church, pleaded guilty to assaulting Mr Taylor. She was made subject to community supervision for 12 months with 10 days' rehabilitation, fined £40 and ordered to pay £50 compensation.

Tracy Yates, prosecuting, said Mr Taylor saw Fraser enter the Ibar at about 2.15am and he informed security. “She was shouting and being abusive towards the door staff and as Mr Taylor went over with the police radio she lunged at him,” said Mrs Yates.

She said when she was interviewed Fraser said she knew Mr Taylor didn’t like her. She said she pushed him more than punched him.

Gareth Price, defending, said his client had been out of trouble for over two years.
