FORMER Burnley FC manager Stan Ternent has been made an honorary life member of The Clarets Trust.
The 73-year-old was boss of the club first team from June 1998 to June 2004. for 312 games. In 1999/2000 he secured promotion from the Second to First Division (now the Championship).
Clarets Trust chairman and former Burnley MP Peter Pike made the presentation to Mr Ternent at his home with its secretary Liam Hallinan.
Mr Pike said: “Stan was a great character and is entitled to be a ‘Clarets Legend’ as one of our great managers.
“He was delighted to receive this, a recognition which is much deserved as Stan played a key role in moving the Clarets forward towards becoming a Premier League team.”
