A MULTI-vehicle crash on a major road is causing heavy traffic.
Emergency services are currently at the scene of the incident on Bury Road, Rawtenstall near to the junction of Lomas Lane.
Traffic is building up in the area following the crash shortly before 7pm, according to travel website, the AA.
A police spokesman said: "We are currently at the scene of a multi vehicle road traffic collision on Bury Road Rawtenstall near to the junction of Lomas Lane.
"Vehicle recovery and emergency services are on scene and looking to clear the road very shortly."
