A HUNT is underway to find a high risk sex offender who was last seen in Blackburn - and the police are asking for the public's help in finding him.
Ricky Stuart, of Lee Street, Accrington, was last seen at around 6pm on September 19 at Blackburn Town Centre Bus Station.
An appeal has now been launched with detectives asking people to step forward if they think they have seen him.
The 37-year-old is wanted for breaching the conditions of his licences and is on prison recall.
He was jailed in 2013 at Burnley Crown Court for and attempted rape.
He is white, 5ft 7in tall, of medium build, with a bald head. He also wears glasses.
Stuart has links to the Blackburn, Burnley and Accrington areas.
Det Con Thomas Dawson, of Blackburn Police, said: “Stuart is a high risk sex offender and we are appealing for information leading to his whereabouts.
“We would advise people not to approach him but instead call police immediately if you see him.”
