A CUSTOMER left furious at the valuation of a vehicle broke a staff member's finger in the car's door.
Police are now calling for anyone with information to come forward after the incident, which happened at Bailey Bridge Retail Park's We Buy Any Car garage at 2.50pm on Thursday, September 12.
Officers investigating the incident say a male customer was angry at the valuation of a car. It was claimed that he then shut a member of staff’s hand in the car door.
The staff member suffered a broken finger.
A 49-year-old man from New Milton has been arrested on suspicion of inflicting grievous bodily harm with intent. He has been released under investigation.
PC Rob Cook, of Christchurch police, said: “I understand there were a number of people in the area at the time and I would like to hear from anyone with information that may assist our investigation.”
