THIS week Made in Bury was at The New Kershaw Centre, which is part of Bury Council, to surprise Debra Frost.
The centre is a community hub and offers a range of services to young people within the borough.
There are rooms available for hire which are suitable for training events, meetings, conferences or community events and all within easy access to Bury Town Centre and motorway network.
Debra has worked for the council for 18 months in her current role as a personal adviser. With her children just recently heading back to university and a holiday in the planning for next year, her £2,000 win will come in handy over the next few months - not to mention the cakes that she promised her colleagues.
Bury Council is a huge supporter of the Made In Bury Business Draw and have been involved since the very beginning. The council understands the importance of helping start up businesses within the borough and the draw helps to fund the Made In Bury Business Academy which guides new businesses through an 18-module course to help them get off the ground.
