A HOMELESS man who was banned from entering Blackburn town centre under a criminal behaviour order admitted to police he had been sleeping on Morrisons car park.

Blackburn magistrates heard police tracked Russell Summers down after finding two sleeping bags and the rest of his belongings on the car park.

Summers, 53, of no fixed address, pleaded guilty to breaching a criminal behaviour order.

He was committed to Preston Crown Court to be sentenced after the court heard he was due there for sentencing on three other breaches and using threatening behaviour.

Joanne Cronshaw, prosecuting, said when he was spoken to by the police Summers admitted sleeping on the car park but said he tried to leave before the shop opened.
