The Inspire Motivate Overcome (IMO) camp proved to be another huge success.

The camp based at Queen Elizabeth’s Grammar School, Blackburn, was run by a team of 20 young volunteers.

Following on from the success of last year’s event, the camp attracted over 120 boys and girls with two children from Dubai also participating.

The activities varied each day and children from the age of five to 11 were able to partake in sports, arts and crafts, problem solving and orienteering.

IMO’s business apprentice, Sufyan Khan led this year’s camp.

Sufyan said: “The main purpose for me as the lead on the summer camp was to help children build their self-esteem and make new friends.

“I am pleased to say this was successfully achieved. It was very pleasing to see so many children from various areas coming together and enjoying the wide range of activities over the two weeks in a safe environment.

“I would like to say a huge thank you to all my team of volunteers who did an amazing job and made these two weeks a huge success it would not have been possible without them.”
