AN arrest has been made after reports of a man in the street armed with a sword.
Police were called at around 12.30pm today to Scot Lane, Aspull, to residents' reports of a man brandishing a sword.
The incident is not terror related, according to police.
A Greater Manchester Police spokesperson said: "Officers attended and a man was arrested on suspicion of possessing a bladed article.
"He is still in custody for questioning and inquiries are ongoing."
There were no injuries reported.
