SHE’S known by thousands as a TV personality who is not afraid to tell the world what she really thinks — and now everyone’s favourite agony aunt is about to take on a new role entirely.

From November, Antonella Brollini, also known as Antonella the Uncensored Reviewer, will be captivating a whole new audience when she becomes Wicked Aunt Nelly in this year’s Christmas Pantomime of Cinderella at the Victoria Hall in Bolton.

And while she is full of excitement at the prospect of embracing a new challenge, the Haslingden mum — who has more than 1.4 million followers on Facebook — admits she was not originally sold on the idea.

She told The Bolton News: “The producers first contacted me and asked if I wanted to be the fairy god mother - I declined the offer straight away.

“I said I’d love to be involved in some way but I have no interest in playing a good character — I want to be a baddie.

“So after a rethink they asked me if I wanted to play the role of Evil Step Aunty Nelly — I immediately accepted.

“I can’t wait to get up on the stage to have hundreds of people booing me, it is going to be so much fun!”

Antonella first rose to fame posting brutally honest and hilarious product reviews to Facebook, and soon amassed hundreds of thousands of followers.

Enamoured with her no nonsense attitude, support from fans allowed Antonella to expand her repertoire and so she started an agony aunt section on her Facebook page.

The 43-year-old now hosts a regular spot on ITV’s magazine programme This Morning and writes for a host of women’s magazines.

And if that wasn’t enough, she also part-owns and runs fashion boutique Rosie and Daisy in Haslingden.

She said: “This is something totally new for me and I am so excited.

"I have always wanted to be on the stage and I love musicals and theatre - I’ve been to see the ballet many times on my own.

“It is a really special thing to be a part of and everybody loves a good panto.”

On balancing all of her commitments, Antonella added: “You’ve got to make hay while the sun’s shining.

"I’m just relishing every opportunity that is being presented to me at the moment.

"I’m so looking forward to starting rehearsals and getting the show going.”

n Cinderella starts on Friday, November 29 at Victoria Hall in Bolton and runs until New Year's Eve. Tickets and more information can be found at www.boltonpanto.co.uk
