Work to demolish a bridge is due to be completed this weekend.
Burnley council have been carrying out demolition work on the foot and vehicle bridges over Bankfield to the former open market in order to make the area brighter.
The council have advised that during the demolition, there may be some disruption to traffic and the need for a temporary road closure to allow the work on removing the remaining parts of the bridges to go ahead.
Work will be carried out overnight on Saturday from 8pm until 6am on Sunday to minimise any disruption.
The sites at the foot of the bridges will be landscaped and the area as a whole will look a lot brighter.
