POLICE say that no arrests have been made after a ram raid in the early hours of Tuesday morning.
Police were called to reports of a burglary at Sainsbury's petrol station in Cricketers Way in Westhoughton just after 4am.
Offenders had driven a tractor into the petrol station in an attempt to gain access to the building, with a tractor being stolen earlier from a farm in Wingates Lane.
Police say the two incidents are being treated as links and enquiries are ongoing.
