A BOLTON learning disability specialist nurse is a leader of the Windrush generation in health care.
The Florence Nightingale Foundation programme, which is funded by Health Education England, supports the development of nurses from a BME background, and celebrates those who arrived on HV Empire MS Windrush.
Jainab, who has worked for the trust for over 27 years, was the first person from the organisation to take part in the Windrush programme.
Ms Desai said: “Attending the Windrush leadership course in London was a very special and unique opportunity to further develop my leadership skills. This has armed me with greater confidence to influence my practices, and will lead to improved health and care outcomes for people with a learning disability and their carers who are accessing services at Royal Bolton Hospital.”
