A fearless teenager had his head shaved to raise money for the hospice that helped care for his grandad.

Brave Josh Jackson, 13, managed to raise a whopping £782 for East Lancashire Hospice in memory of his grandad, Roger Jackson.

Mr Jackson stayed at the hospice for just three weeks before he sadly died from cancer on June 13.

Josh's father, Martin Jackson said: "The hospice staff were amazing and really looked after him and the family during his time there.

"Josh and his grandad were very close and he wanted to do something special for the hospice."

Josh said: "The hospice had done a lot for my grandad in the last few weeks of his life and also supported the family through a difficult time.

"I felt like I wanted to pay that support back by raising some money for the hospice to help and support others."
