3. Ellis's in 18 Standish Street, Burnley

Eccentric burger and shakes restaurant Ellis’s in Burnley really does provide diners with mouth-watering appealing burgers.

Last Christmas, the eatery brought out a rainbow-coloured burger too pretty to even want to eat.

For now, they have an impressive list of ‘pimped up burgers’, such as the Straight Outta Burnley burger – a double cheeseburger, maple coated smoky bacon, fresh red onion, lettuce, pickle, ketchup and American mustard.

There’s also the Gin and Juice burger for vegetarians and vegans, with double stacked deep-fried halloumi, lettuce, fresh red onion, and Ellis’s sweet chilli mayo.

4. The Morris Dancers in Byron Road, Colne

There is the scrumptious Tandoori Chicken Burger with tandoori marinated chicken fillet topped with onion bhajis and minted sour cream.

For National Burger Day, the restaurant will be offering free soft drinks per burger meal on selected drinks.

Or try the BBQ Chicken with grilled chicken, under grilled back bacon, Monterey jack cheese, bbq sauce and onion rings.

5. Papa's American Diner in Duckworth Street, Darwen

Offering a buy-one-get-one-free for National Burger Day on their popular Darrener burger, is Papa’s American Diner in Darwen.

The Darrener is a beef burger with battered onion rings, BBQ sauce, smoked bacon, cheddar slice and salad.
