Writer Sarvat Jabeen Khan hosted her 23rd Cake Break to help raise money for the MS Society.
Sarvat who suffers from the illness herself invited friends and family to support the event which has now been held every year since she was diagnosed.
Speaking to Asian Image she said: “We raised £643 over the day and I would like to thank all the volunteers and helpers who assisted.
“It is important to note there is still no cure and it affects all people of all backgrounds. In the Asian community there is still a stigma attached to MS and you have to have confidence to come out and speak to people.”
Sarvat would like to thank Nazmeen, Nafees Bakery, KQF and Tauheedul Boys School for their support and donations.
Anyone wishing to speak to Sarvat can call 01254 298263.
