STUDENTS across Halton who received A-Level and vocational exam results last week have been praised for their success.
Nationally 97.5% of A level entries were pass grades, successful in achieving a range of grade from A*-E.
Performance in Halton was slightly higher than the national figure with 98.1% of entries achieving A*-E.
Students who took vocational qualifications are also celebrating with excellent results at both pass and distinction level.
Halton's strategic director of people, Milorad Vasic, congratulated pupils, schools, colleges and families on their performance.
He said: "Results represent the culmination of many years hard work, perseverance and commitment to lifelong learning. Students and their families should be very proud of all that has been achieved.
"I wish them well in their future happiness and continuing on their chosen career pathway.”
Halton Borough Member for children and young people, Cllr Tom McInerney also praised the students for excelling in their studies and for the hard work and support from schools, colleges and the wider community.
