THE owners of Bury’s newest pizza restaurant are promising to bring an authentic taste of Naples to the town.

Tre Amici Pizzeria opened in Broad Street last week and is the brainchild of its owners Pasquale Busiello, Adam Rizvi and Giovanni Rinzivillo.

Mr Busiello, who hails from Italy’s Amalfi Coast but now lives in Ainsworth, says it has been a long-term dream to open his own pizzeria.

After searching across Bury, he eventually stumbled upon an ideal site where he plans to serve up fresh, authentic Neapolitan pizzas made with “passion and love”.

Mr Busiello said: “I have lived in Bury for 35 years, and it is a lovely town with lovely people.

“There are lots of takeaways in the town centre, but not that many restaurants.

“A lot of people leave Bury to go to other areas, such as Manchester. I want people to come here instead of the other way round.

“We hope we can impact the community and bring more revenue into the town.”

Mr Busiello is a well-known figure in the Manchester hospitality industry, having worked in a range of restaurants over the last 25 years.

He was most recently a manager at San Carlo in Manchester, where he met Mr Rinzivillo.

The pair spoke of their shared dream of opening their own restaurant, but it was not until they met Mr Rizvi, a cryptocurrency entrepreneur, that those dreams could be realised.

Now, they hope to take the town by storm by serving traditional Neapolitan pizza in a rustic, social setting.

As well as the extensive range of pizzas, Tre Amici also offers a range of antipasti, calzones and fish dishes.

The secret to creating “proper” Neapolitan pizza, according to Mr Busiello, is allowing the dough to rest for 48 hours.

“People have said no one around here makes pizza like we do,” he claimed.

“I guarantee that because we make our food with love and passion like in Italy.

“This has been my dream for a long time so I am going to give it my all.”

The restaurant, which is in the former site of Coffee Quarter, also has a bar offering a range of Italian drinks and cocktails.
