THE little fans of Legoland Discovery Centre in Manchester are being given a chance to dream big and help run the attraction.

The decision comes after management wanted to place the power where it matters, in the hands of their main consumer, empowering young people to ‘build’ on their business skills.

It’s biggest and littlest fans have been offered a chance to sit on a Junior Creative Board for 12 months, working closely with the management team to have their say on the future of the Discovery Centre.

The young, Lego-obsessed board members will score invites to exclusive events, enjoy sneak peeks of brand new developments and be rewarded with annual family passes to visit the attraction all year round.

The search will be aided by eight-year old triplets Harry, Charlie and Lily, from Trafford, who were awarded prime spots on the board, after their application to become the new Master Model Builders impressed the management team.

Jenn McDonough, General Manager, said: “We thought who better equipped to help us find the rest of our new Junior Creative Board than Harry, Charlie, and Lily?

“We strive to ignite creativity and inspire little ones to dream big, be that in their builds or in their careers. We hope the rest of the Junior Creative Board can match the trio’s enthusiasm and creativity.”

Boys and girls aged between 5 and 12 who are keen to take charge, have until mid-August to upload a video or photo showing how much they love Lego and discussing what they would do if they were in charge.

The newly appointed triplets, otherwise known as the ‘Junior Creative Directors’, say they are taking the position very seriously and want to welcome other children who love Lego as much as they do.

“We think the rest of the board needs to be creative, because sometimes they’ll need to follow instructions and other times, masterpieces will need them to use their imagination,” they said.

“They need to be hardworking and work well as part of a team, it’s really important that they’re determined and persevere. Sometimes LEGO might break and not work, but like anything in life, it isn’t easy and you can’t give up.”
