TRAINS were delayed for over three hours on Monday after a man was seen entering a railway tunnel.
The British Transport Police advised passengers that there were delays on all lines in and out of Blackburn after the man was spotted jumping a fence close to the station.
A total of 22 trains were delayed for 3 hours and 10 minutes as the man was located and officers dealt with the situation.
A spokesman said: "Male spotted jumping a fence at #Blackburn Station and heading into the tunnel. Two trains came to a stop in the tunnel, and a total of 22 trains were delayed for 190 mins.
"Our officers located him when he exited the tunnel on the far side. A prosecution file is being prepared."
