Chatburn Road, Clitheroe
A major road has been closed to traffic due to a problem with the drains.
On Tuesday afternoon, Ribble Valley police issued a statement to say that Chatburn Road in Clitheroe had become unsafe.
A spokesperson for the police said: "Due to an issue with the drains on Chatburn Road, Clitheroe, the road has become unsafe and traffic is currently being diverted until more permanent measures are put in place."
Road users are asked to use another route until the matter is resolved.
