EMERGENCY services were this evening called to an incident involving a classic Rolls-Royce.
Firefighters and police officers were called to Blackburn Road close to outskirts of Rishton at around 6.30pm after reports were received about a two-car collision.
A recently renovated classic Rolls-Royce was written-off in the accident.
It is thought that the car was shunted into a wall after crashing with another car.
On-duty watch manager for Hyndburn, Lee Pickup, said crews were called to the incident following concerns about fuel leaking from the vintage car.
He said: “We attended to block nearby drains and to use a material to stop the fuel from leaking from the tank into the water course.
“We were at the scene for around thirty minutes”
Traffic was heavy heading into Rishton while police directed traffic around the scene.
Nobody was seriously injured in the accident.
