TERRIFIED neighbours were threatened with metal bars after two men broke into a home and stole over £6,000 worth of cash and jewellery. 

An investigation has now been launched into the incident which took place at around 9.30am on Friday 19 at a house just off Burnley Road, Altham. 

Images of two men who the police would like to speak to in connection to the incident have also been released. 

A spokesperson for the police said: “At approximately 9.30am on Friday, two males have forced their way into the property and stolen in excess of £6,000 worth of cash and jewellery.

“On exiting the property the males have threatened neighbours with metal bars before making their escape in a black Nissan in the direction of Burnley.”

The images are still shots from the property’s CCTV system and police now want to speak to the two males pictured.
