The fourth round of the men's HSBC UK national circuit series Grand Prix took place on Tuesday evening.

The event, which was held in Colne, saw several races starting early, such as the youth race which began at 6.30pm at the town's market cross.

The elite circuit race began at 8pm and the atmosphere in the town was buzzing, with many shops staying open later than usual.

Spectator, Guy Richard, who also took these brilliant photographs, said: "The town was packed, people were lining the streets and everyone was enjoying themselves.

"The weather was great which made it better and there were loads of families and cycling fans."

The race night had been organised by Colne Town Council and the Cycling Development Pendle Partnership.

Tuesday's race was the fourth of six rounds in the men’s series, with further races in Barnsley on July 19 and Sheffield on July 24, where the overall winner would be decided.
